Bio:

I have received my Ph.D in Biochemistry from CSIR-India in the year 2007 and joined as post-doctoral fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center as traditional academic career path. My aspiration was always to be in the medical affairs of pharmaceutical industries. To support my aspiration, career goal and to gain knowledge in clinical world I took a short course offered by GSBS, on how to design and manage clinical trials with all the details about ethical guidelines and FDA regulations. In 2014 I took the challenge to join pharmaceutical industry as entry-level oncology medical science liaison. In two years, I became the alliance lead MSL within AstraZeneca Plc supporting oncology disease state. In 2014 I joined as “Field medical director” in GU oncology in Pfizer.


Most useful skill sets acquired from/for your field:

  • Build relationship with people

  • Manage and set expectations with all the stakeholders

  • Communicate effectively and clearly the scientific data and the key outcomes of ongoing research and how it is transforming the current treatment paradigm with peers



What I love most about my job: Building relationship with people and tailored approach to provide scientific support to the medical community based on ongoing research.
