Derek Haseltine is the founding director of Baylor College of Medicine’s Career Development Center serving students in the School of Medicine, School of Health Professions and Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. In this role he is responsible for overseeing all programming and individual career counseling services. He possesses over 15 years of career management and recruiting experience across academic, private and federal sectors. Prior to joining BCM in 2016, Derek held leadership roles at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, George Washington University and University of Maryland School of Medicine where he founded the Office of Postdoctoral Scholars. He obtained his bachelors from University of Maryland and Masters in Educational Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin.
